If you treat your cooker right it could very well last a lifetime, so take practical steps to ensure its longevity. For example, keeping up routine servicing as per manufacturers instructions, through to simpler things such as when boiling your kettle, turn the spout towards the lid liners, as this will help to keep the liners clean. When you clean the liners it is prudent to use AGA approved products, such as AGA splash shield, to prevent damage caused to the surfaces as well as AGA’s own enamel cleaner to keep your AGA looking as good as the day it was installed.
Leaving your cooker turned off for a long period of time may cause the parts to seize up. If you know that your AGA cooker will be switched off throughout the summer time, switch it on sporadically, as this will help make a difference and ensure your cooker runs smoothly when it is needed.
Be sure to get your AGA cooker serviced on a regular basis so it runs healthily and efficiently. Most concerns can be spotted during the servicing process. If an issue is identified early, it will prevent it becoming a serious problem in the long run.
